The 2023 Scientific Symposium: EFT and Issues Around Cancer

Registration for the live 2023 Symposium is now closed.

If you missed your chance to register for the live event, you will have the opportunity to purchase and access the 2023 Symposium recordings at a future time. We look forward to making these available for purchase after the event as soon as possible. Warmest Regards, The EFTi Symposium Team.

Even though dealing with cancer can be tough... EFT is here support you throughout this process.

Join us March 18th, 2023, 9am (GMT) for an online day of live presentations highlighting the latest in scientific understanding of EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) and issues around cancer. Whether you’re going through cancer yourself, supporting a loved one or supporting your clients or patients, this year’s Scientific Symposium will help deepen your understanding of the role EFT can play as an effective and evidence-based complementary approach to cancer care.

In this year's Symposium, our experts from around the world will share:

  • The impact of EFT on cancer-related cognitive impairment (chemo-brain)
  • Why EFT is more than just a tool to cope with cancer
  • The role of EFT in palliative care
  • Why EFT should be an integral component of any holistic cancer support programme
  • The relationship between nervous system dysregulation and cancer growth and progression
  • How EFT can be used to treat long-term conditions like cancer

This event will be recorded in full, and participants will receive a link to the recordings – so no matter where you are in the world or what time you join, you won’t miss out.

Why a Symposium about EFT and Cancer?
According to the CDC (Centres for Disease Control and Prevention, 1,752,735 new cancer cases were reported in the U.S. in 2019. In Britain, researchers from Cancer Research UK project that by 2040 the number of people diagnosed with cancer each year is set to rise to 500,000.

Whether we are affected by cancer directly, or someone we know and love has had it – cancer touches all of our lives.

This year’s Symposium will help deepen your understanding of the role EFT can play as an effective and evidence-based complementary approach to cancer care. Our aim is to support people with cancer and those helping someone through cancer – whatever their final outcome. It will also inform EFT practitioners of the various issues involved when working with clients affected by cancer.

We also want to raise greater awareness within the allopathic community of the value and benefits of using EFT for cancer patients, and their families, and we hope to inspire more research into using EFT for cancer-related issues.

Together we’ll learn precisely how EFT can help with issues around cancer in innumerable ways, including:

  • Diagnosis and related emotions
  • The trauma of diagnosis
  • Fear of cancer
  • Emotions relating to different treatments
  • Fear of needles
  • Pain Management
  • Fear of death
This Year's Overview

Throughout the day, speakers will present live from all over the world, starting in Australia. Attendees can expect case studies from those who have used EFT in cancer treatment plans (both from a patient perspective and a practitioner perspective) as well as short presentations from cancer survivors about their experiences of using EFT in their treatment. The day will conclude with a panel of those cancer survivors so that attendees will get an opportunity to ask them questions.

Here’s an overview of what some of our speakers will be sharing with you:

  • Dr Peta Stapleton will present on the published EFT research on issues that present in cancer patients. This will include and not be limited to: pain management, anxiety and stress, fear of surgery and the trauma of the diagnosis
  • With Dr Mahima Kalla you’ll learn how she adapted the model she created for using EFT for long term conditions to cancer treatment. She will present on the model and the different ways in which EFT can be adapted to help cancer patients
  • Dr Seamus Coyle will draw from his work to present A Simple Guide in Palliative and Hospice Care. Making references to case studies on his use of EFT with patients he will present on his experiences of using EFT in his work
  • Dr Philip Debruyne will share about the impact of EFT on cancer-related cognitive impairment (sometimes referred to as Chemo-brain). He will also outline how EFT can help with other symptoms in cancer survivors
  • A cell and molecular biologist by training, Dr Mona Meyer will explore the the relationship between nervous system dysregulation and cancer growth and progression
  • With Dr Rosy Daniel you will be given an overview of the mind-body approach to cancer followed by how she sees EFT as a vital component any holistic cancer support programme

The schedule is evolving, and we’re excited to share more educational content throughout the day.

Feedback from the 2021 Symposium
Truly I was pleasantly surprised by how very much I enjoyed the [2021 EFTi Scientific Symposium]. I knew the content would be excellent but was amazed at how well the online format worked. I still have a warm feeling of us connecting literally across the whole planet with the first presentations from Australia (late at night), as I was sitting with me coffee at my 5 am, and then the last presentation in California where it was still late morning as I had my lunch!. It is a small planet!

Thank you so much to all the speakers. You gave me something what I needed: support and inspiration. I feel I have more power now.

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to All of you who organised it, kept the day rolling and all the fabulous presenters who delivered such relevant and superb presentations. You all make it such a warm and supportive professional organisation that is my pleasure to belong to.

Everything was excellent: I really appreciated the speakers keeping to time, space for Q&A, and the built in breaks between speakers worked for me really well such that I felt energised at the end of a long day. THANK YOU ALL!

So enjoyed David Feinstein’s and Peta Stapleton’s presentations. Both had such solid and exciting scientific evidence for how EFT changes the brain and body chemistry. I will be definitely be sharing what I learned from them both.
