I've been in the EFT world long enough to know EFT is amazing. And yet it wasn't until January, 10 years after my Level 1 training, that I realised it yet again - only this time on an even deeper level.
Muscle Spasms
Like many EFT practitioners, I experiment on myself when using it for things that I'm not sure it's going to be effective for. My first EFT experiment was with muscle spasms, something that I seem to get more and more of as I get older and lack time for exercise (I'm the mother of a 3-year-old so obviously time to exercise has been somewhat lacking in my life for the past few years!). Now, any time I feel a muscle spasm coming on I immediately start tapping and this stops the spasm turning into a 'crick' that stays for days. Thank you EFT experiment!
Coughing Fit
Another one that I'll never forget was in much more of an emergency situation and, truth be told, was less of an experiment and more of a 'if this doesn't work, I'm calling 999'. My mother had ended up having a coughing fit and my gut instinct was that the water which had started her coughing was no longer the cause but instead, her cough receptors had gotten so irritated that they were just stuck in overdrive. None of us knew what to do so I just started tapping. It worked!!
Stomach Virus
Fast forward to January and due to my father-in-law being hospitalised, my family saw the early days of 2025 in Cannes, France. Two days into the trip I inconveniently got a vomiting bug and ended up in bed for 48 hours. At the end of this period, I had convinced myself that I'd be well again after one more night's sleep when I felt my stomach lurch again. Really needing to be back to parenting so my partner could see his father, I got out the EFT again. Granted, I should have tapped much sooner but even us EFT practitioners can forget the wide ranging benefits that EFT can provide. Lo and behold, it worked again.
Having initially entered my healthcare career through training as a physiotherapist, I love the fact that Gary Craig's suggestion of trying EFT on anything also appears to work for seemingly random physical issues such as those I've shared today.
With new research suggesting that EFT may work via the Primo Vascular System (which is so extensively connected to the rest of our body and brain), these experiments also left me envisaging a world where EFT is a core part of household first aid kits. What a wonderful world that would be!

Absolutely agree. And thanks for sharing. You’ve inspired me to be more wide ranging in my application.
