Benjamin Hargrave

Accredited Certified EFT Practitioner
I am an experienced therapist with a background working with developmental trauma and attachment difficulties. In addition to being an EFT practitioner, I am also a Certified DDP Practitioner, Consultant and Trainer, a Systemic Practitioner and a registered Social Worker with Social Work England.
I have worked hard to build an ongoing, intersectionally informed anti-oppressive practice in my life through training, reading, watching and listening to various materials as well as self-directed work and in therapy. I have worked in specific committee spaces focusing on Racial Equity and Social Justice and this continues to form part of my broader work and life commitments.
I am particularly open to work with the LGBTQ+ community. I consider myself Queer with a somewhat fluid experience and presentation of my gender and sexuality which links with a creative part of myself. I studied Fine Art as my bachelors degree and continue to maintain a personal creative practice. While this will not always form a direct part of my EFT work, I regularly use visualisations and metaphors. Images, sounds, sensations and feelings come from the person I am working with and I use my creativity to support them in bringing these things to life in a way which supports healing. The ability to be playful using these methods can be a powerful part of the work I do with a client. I often have moments of joy and laughter in the work I do.
I have an in depth understanding of the social and physical impacts of living with HIV; working with painful losses of loved ones; and an understanding of navigating a diagnosis of cancer.
I am open to working online with EFT. I will be offering an English speaking, face-to-face practice in Warsaw, Poland, where I live, starting in the Autumn/Winter of 2023.
