Dawn Cretney

Accredited Certified Advanced EFT Practitioner
I am an Advanced EFT Practitioner, and professionally trained youth services specialist with over 30 years of post‑qualification experience supporting children, young people, adults, families, and professionals. My work spans youth and community services, schools‑based intervention, trauma‑responsive practice, behaviour change, SEND support, and multi‑agency collaboration across statutory, voluntary, and third‑sector settings.
I'm an integrative practitioner who uses EFT, trauma‑informed, and complementary training to support emotional regulation, healing, and sustainable personal change.
My practice focuses on adults, young people, parents, professionals, and organisations navigating trauma, stress, behaviour change, neurodiversity, and school‑based challenges.
My approach is grounded in compassion, evidence‑based methods, and a commitment to empowering clients with practical tools for growth and resilience.
In 2012, I stepped out of paid management roles, to found a Community Interest Company (CIC) dedicated to early intervention, education, and emotionally informed support for young people, families, and professionals. I continue to run this organisation. I also train EFT practitioners and trainers in Safeguarding, promoting safe, ethical, and responsible practice within the field.
I have volunteered within EFT International’s Ethics Committee since 2016, serving as Co‑Chair from 2022–2026. My long‑standing involvement reflects my dedication to professional standards, integrity, and the ongoing development of ethical EFT practice.
Across my career, I have seen how often people struggle not because they lack potential, but because they have not yet had access to the right support. My work is driven by a belief in human capacity and the power of informed, compassionate intervention: to help people give the best of themselves — for their own benefit, and for the benefit of their families, communities, and wider society.
When familiar approaches have been exhausted, there is always another way forward. My practice is dedicated to helping people find that way with clarity, safety, and confidence.
