EFT Training and Mentoring
With a career in teaching and managing foreign language learning curricula behind me, also as an author for Oxford University Press teacher guidance materials (before serious illness forced me to leave all that behind), it is teaching and training others in EFT that I love most. I hope you will join me for Practitioner (Level 1&2 combined) or Advanced Practitioner training and mentoring, for one of my monthly 2-hour introductory workshops, or simply for one of my free Tapping for Stress online groups. Whichever live event you join, I can promise that you are so welcome to ask all your questions. My extensive experience and involvement in the field of EFT, which I love to share, allows me to answer easily and fully, so you never need fear putting either me or yourself in a tight spot. Learning is a process of sharing, helping and supporting each other, experimenting and making mistakes together, steadily growing confidence and having a few laughs along the way. You have to feel safe and at ease for your brain to come fully online to learn. Achieving this is my goal and has resulted in even the least confident learners blossoming and growing into their power and potential. I only train in small groups in order to provide the right environment for this. I welcome also the honour of supporting and mentoring you as you proceed and grow through the practical supervised certification and accreditation period. All assessment and feedback on recordings and case studies is done in person. The mixture of group and 1:1 mentoring enables you to know exactly what you need to do next in the process and to have access to all the help you need, whilst keeping the process affordable and doable. EFT Sessions 1:1 with Me
My teaching skills and instincts carry across into 1:1 sessions. I will always ensure that you fully understand the process of EFT facilitation and, as our work together progresses, you become increasingly able to tap for yourself, to change your own life, ensuring you are not dependent long-term on a therapist and, at the right time sessions can be affordably spread out and reduced, keeping your costs to a minimum.
Life has dealt me some blows along the way, but this only enables me better to understand my clients' needs. I went many years with sub-clinical, undiagnosed Crohn's disease, which left me feeling somehow less capable than others around me in the workplace. I burnt myself out trying to keep up and was diagnosed first with CFS/ME prior to the eventual auto-immune diagnosis. Over the past twelve years, I have moved into and stayed completely in remission, thanks to the initial surgery (from which tapping enabled lightning recovery) a combination of energy techniques, stress management and dietary expertise. I love to support others to do the same.
A single parent since my daughter was 3 months old, at age twelve she became seriously ill, initially diagnosed with CFS/ME, then at 14 with Crohn's disease and also Asperger's Syndrome. As a parent-carer and teaching professional, I have extensively researched Autism Spectrum Conditions (Aspergers, ADHD and PDA) in high-functioning girls and this has become another area of specialism. I also know how it feels as a parent-carer when the care and education system that is supposed to be there to help, actually fails your young person, also when they are discriminated against and all it ever feels like you are doing is fighting for disability rights. Tapping is such a great help at all these times and I so love to share it to help you through your own challenges, similar or otherwise.
I specialise in helping people with long-term conditions and physical health issues clear any trauma that has been involved in initiating the health problem. The other step I help them with is to learn to give themselves and their bodies nurture, compassion, gentleness and love, in order to create within mind and body a healing environment and to reconnect with their natural capacity to heal - the template of health with which they were born. This applies to many serious and long-term conditions, although I have specialised in particular in auto-immune illness and ME/CFS - please see my article on EFT for ME/CFS and Long Covid created for International Tapping Month in August 2021 here: https://internationaltappingmonth.com/aug221/
If any of this resonates with what you are going through, you can be sure of finding an understanding and resourceful practitioner. Do either look at my eftdevon.com website for further information or book your initial discussion with me to explore how EFT sessions and/or training could help:
