Accredited Certified EFT Practitioner
Here is a brief history of me or more to the point why it is that I choose to work specifically with Superwomen.
You see 15 years ago I had a complete emotional breakdown, which culminated in a voluntary admission to a psychiatric unit. I thought at the time that I would receive the support and understanding to help me make sense of what was going on. The reality couldn’t have been farther from the truth. What I did find in this bizarre alternate reality was friendship and kinship with other people who were also struggling to make sense of their world. I vowed that my experience in the psychiatric unit would not be a complete waste of time and that I could use my experiences to turn things around and make a difference for others who were also having difficulties.
I was so passionate about giving back.
Long story, short, after my recovery I was appointed as the Project Manager to set up a weekend crisis house and I was determined to make sure that I was the best Project Manager ever; that the crisis house was going to be the best crisis house ever; that I would be the best single parent ever; that I was going to be the best friend ever, the best colleague ever….You get the picture.
Well all this pressure I placed on myself to be the best, nearly bought me to my knees again. I was exhausted, worn out and very nearly burnt out. My physical health was suffering and my mental health was at risk of crashing again.
For the last 15 years I have sought to make sense of my life, to find ways to live a happier, more fulfilled, more peaceful life. And whilst I may not have all the definitive answers, I have certainly discovered many tools and techniques which keep me on track and feeling the best I have ever felt in the whole of my life. Emotional Freedom Technique being one such tool.
It’s taken quite a long time and it was often a very lonely process, which is why it was important for me to qualify as an Emotional Freedom Technique Practitioner and Coach, so that I can share what I have learnt; so that you don’t have to feel like you are the lone voice out cold in the storm; so that you can know that someone out there gets what you are going through and genuinely wants to help.
