Accredited Certified EFT Practitioner
I am a Social Worker/Counsellor and have been practicing since 2001. I have been undertaking diverse roles across disability, mental health, aged care, dementia as well as working with children and families and young adults. My background is in case work, case management, social work supervision and as a university Tutor, External Supervisor and Field Liaison Visitor, also doing advocacy, referrals, information giving, counselling, research, community development, resource development etc.
One of the greatest opportunities for me was when my EFT International Trainer Amanda Pain introduced me to EFT in 2016. My life transformed. I knew EFT was something I wanted to have in my life and that it would enhance my professional practice. At the time I did not know how profound that would be. I now know as I have seen the transformation within myself and significantly within others. I am enormously grateful for EFT and Amanda Pain my EFT International trainer. Amanda has always believed in me and gives me great support in my professional/personal development. Thank you, Amanda Pain. EFT is a fundamental component of my counselling/social work and supports me in my day to day living.
As a counsellor I combine EFT with Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness. I am undertaking Matrix Reimprinting 14-15 March 2021 which I hear is "EFT on Steroids," and I look forward to adding this to my practice.
I am a kind person who is intuitive, I have had a complex life personally and professionally, so it has helped me to have the compassion and insight and acceptance to work with complexity and difference. I receive not only EFT International individual mentoring I also receive regular supervision from a Mental Health Accredited Social Worker, as well as another Social Worker whose background is in counselling and domestic violence and many varied fields. I also have regular supervision with a Disability expert. Supervision is something I greatly appreciate and is something that I believe is a fundamental part of professional practice and self-care. Professional development is also something I am continuing to do, and lifelong learning is enhanced by my various clients who all inspire me.
