Accredited Certified Advanced EFT Practitioner
I first discovered EFT after developing a number of intolerances following a traumatic bereavement in 2003 and experiencing the limitations of conventional medicine at first hand. It made sense that my physical health was affected by the extreme stress I experienced at the time and I found EFT to be very effective, not only in dealing with the specific situation and painful emotions it triggered but it also helped me to improve my outlook more generally. As I am a dietitian (for more details see http://www.freelancedietitians.org/search/member_details.asp?Ref=7220) I had a healthy level of scepticism about this strange-looking method but I was so impressed with the results and ease of use that I trained as a practitioner. I then tested its effectiveness by using it with a range of clients with eating and weight issues and arranged training for other health professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, counsellors, nurses and GPs. I have found EFT to be particularly helpful in my nutrition work, using it in combination with dietary modification and other conventional treatments, especially in relation to weight management, eating disorders, IBS, intolerances and gut problems and also in the management of anxiety and depression. I have also found it to be valuable with clients suffering from other stress/anxiety problems where diet is not an issue.
