Accredited Certified EFT Practitioner
I discovered EFT/tapping about 3 years when I was lucky enough to receive a free session from Jules herself. I was shocked with how effective the results were and quickly realised the importance of using a somatic approach.
I finished my studies at university completing a Bachelor of Social Welfare. I started working at headspace at a Youth Access Clinician and found my love with working with young people.
After spending time working in talk therapy, I quickly realised how retraumatizing it was for young people to come into the clinic and share their experiences, only to be referred to another service and have to tell their story all over again.
What I love about EFT is how gentle and safe it is. It is truly a trauma informed practice that gently allows the client to express without discomfort. I love that it involves the body, it seems crazy not to as we know the body keeps score! When using the body we can explore deeper thoughts, feelings and emotions of subconscious. This helps to address the root cause, rather than just the symptoms, EFT has the potential for long-lasting healing.
I completed my certification of EFT/tapping with Jules Vandermaat October 2024. It was nothing but a supportive and postivie experience. Jules is highly trained in trauma informed approach in eft/tapping. I feel privileged that Jules was my trainer and mentor.
Currently, I am working as a young carer peer facilitator covering the whole region from New England to Byron Bay. I facilitate online and face to face programs for young carers that are in caring for a loved one or friend.
I wish to continue working with young people in my own EFT/tapping practice. know working with young people is a chance to shape the future in a meaningful way, empowering them to reach their full potential while learning and growing alongside them. I am also young myself and never struggle to create a therapeutic relationship between myself and my clients.
