Self-Administered EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) in Individuals with Fibromyalgia: A Randomized Trial

This randomized controlled trial investigated the effectiveness of self-administered Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) in reducing symptoms of fibromyalgia in women. The results showed statistically significant improvements in pain, anxiety, depression, and quality of life in the EFT treatment group compared to the wait-listed group. While the results are promising, the small sample size and high dropout rate mean that further research is needed to confirm the effectiveness of EFT as a treatment for fibromyalgia.

Measuring Physiological Markers of Emotional Trauma: A Randomized Controlled Trial of Mind-Body Therapies

This randomized controlled trial nvestigates whether Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and Diaphragmatic Breathing (DB) can improve physiological function, measured by shoulder joint range of motion, in individuals with emotional trauma. The study compares EFT, DB, and a no-treatment control group to determine if acupressure is an active ingredient in EFT. The results aim to provide insight into the effectiveness of EFT in treating emotional trauma and its impact on physical function.

Clinical Story of a 6-year-old Boy’s Eating Phobia: An Integrated Approach Utilizing Prenatal and Perinatal Psychology with Energy Psychology’s EFT in a Surrogate Nonlocal Application

This article discusses an integrated therapeutic approach combining prenatal and perinatal psychology (PPN) with energy psychology, specifically Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), to treat a young boy's lifelong eating phobia. The therapy session, conducted without the child present, utilized nonlocal intuitive perception and mind-to-mind communication to apply EFT and achieve a positive outcome. The article introduces the concept of the Integrated PPN Practitioner, advocating for a holistic approach that incorporates consciousness, nonlocal healing, and energetic modalities in therapeutic practice.

World Trade Center Tower 2 Survivor: EP Treatment of Long-Term PTSD: A Case Study

In this case study a survivor of the Twin Towers collapse of 9/11/01 is treated for prolonged complex PTSD after several years of self-imposed seclusion. Review: Energy Psychology in Disaster Relief

Research suggests that combining brief psychological exposure with acupoint stimulation (tapping) can quickly and permanently reduce maladaptive fear responses in individuals with PTSD and other traumatic experiences. This approach, although controversial, has shown promising results in several studies with military veterans, disaster survivors, and other traumatized individuals. The potential mechanism behind its effectiveness may involve sending deactivating signals directly to the amygdala, rapidly reducing threat responses to innocuous stimuli.

The Effect of EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) on Psychological Symptoms in Addiction Treatment

These findings suggest EFT may be an effective adjunct to addiction treatment by reducing the severity of general psychological distress, and in particular, anxiety and obsessive-compulsive symptoms. This study is limited by the small sample size, lack of a control group, and exploratory nature.
