Evaluating the impact of Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) on Post-Cesarean Section Pain Management: A Case Study at Jemursari Islamic Hospital, Surabaya

This case study analyzed the impact of Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) on managing post-cesarean section pain in a single patient at Jemursari Islamic Hospital, Surabaya. The intervention consisted of daily 30-minute EFT sessions over three consecutive days, involving tapping on acupressure points while focusing on pain-related thoughts. The results showed a reduction in pain intensity, with the patient's pain scale score decreasing from 4 to 2. The study concluded that EFT may be an effective nonpharmacological approach to post-operative pain management. However, it emphasized the need for further research with larger sample sizes and control groups to validate these findings.

Effectiveness of Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) on Level of Childbirth Fear Among Antenatal Mothers

This quantitative quasi-experimental study utilized a pre-test and post-test design to assess the effectiveness of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) on reducing childbirth fear among 60 antenatal mothers (30 in the experimental group and 30 in the control group) at 36–38 weeks of gestation. EFT was the intervention applied to the experimental group. The results indicated that the majority of mothers in the experimental group moved from severe childbirth fear in the pre-test to mild fear in the post-test, whereas no significant change was observed in the control group. The study concluded that EFT is an effective tool for reducing childbirth fear among primi mothers.
