What if emotional regulation became a normal part of a school day, just like reading or maths?
In the Netherlands, Danielle Schreurs and Simone van Wissen developed 'Alles Klopt' — an EFT-based approach designed for primary schools. The name means “everything is okay,” and at the same time refers to “tapping”.
Introducing EFT to the Classroom
The idea is simple: offering children a practical way to deal with emotions, reduce stress, and feel safe, within the flow of an ordinary school day.
The approach starts with a short series of lessons to introduce EFT in the classroom. These lessons are tailored to different age groups and are designed to be engaging. They use songs, a classroom mascot, and playful worksheets to help children learn the tapping points and understand what they feel.
Rather than adding something extra to an already full schedule, teachers use short tapping moments throughout the day. These usually take no more than a few minutes and can be done at the start of the morning, after a break, or whenever the class needs to reset.
What Danielle and Simone are seeing in practice is striking.
Younger children pick up the tapping points quickly. They join in easily and often with enthusiasm. Some start using it at home, which shows how naturally it becomes part of their daily life.
Creating Calmer Classrooms and More Focus
Teachers are also noticing the difference in the classroom. There is more calm, more focus, and a stronger sense of safety. Children who find it hard to deal with big emotions are better able to regulate themselves, especially when tapping in a group.
Teachers themselves benefit from these short moments. Pausing for a minute of tapping helps them slow down and reset. A calmer teacher creates a calmer environment.
Danielle and Simone’s experience also shows that how you introduce it really matters. Consistency and clear guidance make the difference. When tapping is a shared routine, rather than something optional, children are more likely to take part and the effect lasts.
'Alles Klopt' shows that EFT doesn’t have to stay within a therapeutic setting. It can become a simple, everyday skill — giving children a tool they can return to, again and again.
As more schools make space for emotional awareness and practical tools like EFT, there’s a real chance to support children in growing up with more resilience, confidence, and inner calm.
