Keeping Your EFTi Credentials Valid

The Importance of an Up-to-Date Membership

A major focus of EFT International’s mission is to spread quality EFT to the world through training and credentialing that meet high standards of excellence. Our EFT Practitioners and Trainers have gained their Accredited Certified credentials through comprehensive training courses and the extensive work required through EFTi certification and accreditation.

The training and certification process is a demanding one. Once you have achieved Accredited Certified Practitioner or Trainer status with EFT International, please do not let your valuable credentials expire.

As one of the major EFT credentialing bodies in the world, EFT International holds our Practitioner and Trainer members to high standards and professional renewal requirements every year. Members who are using their EFT International Accredited Certified Practitioner, Advanced Practitioner, Master Trainer or Master Trainer of Trainers credentials must renew their EFTi membership on time annually. If a member lets their membership expire and/or neglects to complete their annual requirements of mentoring and CPD, their Accredited credential with EFT International will no longer be valid and cannot be used professionally.

Annual Requirements for EFT International Practitioners and Trainers

Every EFTi Practitioner-level and Trainer-level member is responsible for 6 hours of annual mentoring with an EFTi Trainer or Approved Mentor and 30 hours of CPD (Continuing Professional Development). Members fill out a Mentoring and CPD report each year as a part of the renewal process. This form will appear on the Renew page 30 days before the due date membership renewal. A word about Annual Mentoring
The six required hours of annual mentoring must be completed with an EFTi Trainer or Approved Mentor. Many of our mentors offer group mentoring throughout the year. To browse offerings, go to the EFTi Events Directory and filter for Mentoring Classes.
A word about Annual CPD
CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development. Most members with an active practice will easily fulfill the 30 hours required because any activity that expands your knowledge of EFT or enhances your professional practice in any way may count as CPD. Keeping Your Credentials Valid – FAQs:

How will I know when to renew?
You may check your renew date by logging-in to your account and going to >Members Area >Renew. That page shows your renew date and suggests that you return to this page 30 days before your membership expires, at which time your Mentoring and CPD form will be ready to fill out. You will begin receiving email reminders 30 days before the date and you can renew anytime within that window.
What if I have not completed my mentoring?
We have a solution for you: If you need to complete your mentoring after your renew date, you can still go ahead and renew. Simply book the remaining hours with an EFTi Trainer or Approved Mentor and enter the details of that plan in the Reflections section of the Mentoring and CPD form. Then you will be able to submit that form and complete your renewal.
What if I don’t renew by my renewal due date?
As soon as you have passed the renew date, you still have a 90-day grace period in which to renew/reactivate your membership without penalty. Your membership has entered expiration and when you log-in, you will see a blue Expired Membership button. Click on that to find your Renew page where you may complete renewal within the 90 days. What if I miss the 90-day grace period?
If you miss reactivating your membership within 90 days of expiration, then you become a lapsed member and will be subject to reinstatement fees. Long lapses involve higher fees and a reinstatement process. Details may be found here: >Member Policies & FAQs >Expired and Lapsed Member Policies.
I’m a Student member. Do I have any renewal requirements?
Student Memberships are for one year so you will also receive renewal reminders beginning 30 days before your renew date. Students may renew anytime without penalty. There are no requirements beyond paying the fee to be renewed. Please note: in order to be upgraded to Practitioner status, Students must have a valid, up-to-date Student membership. So, if you have not completed certification within one year, you must renew as a Student and pay for another year in order to be ready for upgrade when certification is completed.
Can I pause my membership due to hardship or other personal reasons?
Yes, we offer a Paused Membership option during which you will not be responsible for Mentoring and CPD as long as you are not using your credentials professionally. Go to >Member Policies & FAQs >Expired and Lapsed Member FAQs  and scroll down to find the details.
