New and Prospective Member FAQs

What are the benefits of EFT International-Accredited Membership?
Benefits for EFT International EFT Students include the ability to:

  • Connect with like-minded professionals
  • Benefit from a code of conduct and ethics, complaints procedure, rigorous training standards and more
  • Promote EFT trainings, workshops and events on the EFT International website
  • Highlight professional EFT expertise and services with a comprehensive profile page and practitioner listing
  • Feature personal and professional EFT experiences on our blog and in our monthly newsletter
  • Volunteer with one of the EFT International committees, and play a part in helping sustain and grow our unique, professional EFT organisation
Who can be listed on EFTinternational.org?
All EFT International Practitioner and Trainer members (at every level of membership) are listed in the EFT International Practitioner, Trainer and Mentor Directory.
I am new to EFT International training. Where do I start?
If you have not yet trained in EFT and wish to train via the EFT International route, visit our EFT Trainings and Events listing for an EFT Level 1 (or combined EFT Level 1/Level 2).
I plan to take a Level 1 course. Do I join EFT International?
Yes. Anyone who is a student in an EFT International course may join as a Student member. Students have access to our member documents, the Student Swap Directory for practice sessions, and EFTi’s private community Facebook groups, where they can begin connecting with other like-minded EFT explorers. Student members are also subscribed to our EFTi members’ newsletter.

If you are on a path to certification with an EFT International Trainer, please join as an EFT Student member. Doing so will give you access to the payment gateway for the online EFT International Practitioner Exam.

Existing Member FAQs:

How do I keep my valuable EFT International Accredited Certified credentials valid?

EFT International holds our Accredited Certified Practitioner and Trainer members to high professional standards.

You only hold the credential of EFTi Accredited Certified Practitioner and/or Trainer IF you maintain an up-to-date membership, renewed each year.

Every Practitioner and Trainer member must complete annual CPD (Continuing Professional Development) and Mentoring requirements – 30 hours of CPD every year and 6 hours of mentoring with an EFT International Trainer or Approved Mentor. To find mentoring events, visit our EFT International Practitioner, Trainer and Mentor Directory.

How do renew my EFT International Membership?

30 days before your membership expires, you will begin receiving reminders via email. During this 30-day period, you may go to your Renew page (after logging-in), enter your CPD and Mentoring record, and pay for your upcoming annual membership renewal.

You will be renewed from your date of expiry for a full year. For example, if your membership expires 1st April and you renew 1st March, you will still receive renewal of your membership through 1st April of the following year.

What happens if I don't renew before my expiration date?

On the date of your expiration, you will lose access to the Members Area and you will no longer be listed in the Practitioner, Trainer and Mentor Directory. You then enter the 90-day “grace period”. This is not an extension of membership. Instead, this is the period of time in which you can renew without penalty.

To reinstate your membership within 90 days:

  1. Log-in to the EFT International website
  2. You will see a blue Expired Member button
  3. Click on this button to go to your Renew page
  4. Fill-in your CPD and Mentoring
  5. Pay your renewal fee

Once you complete the steps above, your membership will be restored, and you will need to re-enter your profile (as your previous bio will have been permanently deleted when the membership expired).

What if my membership has expired beyond 90 days?

If your membership expires beyond 90 days, you are considered a lapsed member. In order to use your EFT International credentials professionally, you must be reinstated. Being reinstated involves a more extensive process.

If your membership has lapsed beyond 90 days (or even one year or more), please visit the Expired and Lapsed Member Policies page and write to membership@eftinternational.org to begin the reinstatement process.

General FAQs:

What is Accreditation?
EFT International Accreditation is the extra level of accountability we’ve put in place to ensure that our member Trainers and Practitioners are meeting EFT International accreditation standards.

At each level of EFT International membership, there are specific requirements to becoming and remaining Accredited by EFT International. All of these steps are now built-in to our current EFT Training and Accreditation structure.

Read More About Accreditation →

What Are Honorary Members?

Honorary membership is offered to those who have made significant contributions to the field of EFT or within the EFTi community.

I am certified in EFT already. Can I still join EFT International?
If you hold an up-to-date certification from another EFT training organisation that is equivalent to EFT International’s accredited certification standards, you may ask to be considered for eligibility as an External Candidate. This process is under development. Please contact accreditation@eftinternational.org to learn more.
