Summary: This quantitative quasi-experimental study utilized a pre-test and post-test design to assess the effectiveness of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) on reducing childbirth fear among 60 antenatal mothers (30 in the experimental group and 30 in the control group) at 36–38 weeks of gestation. EFT was the intervention applied to the experimental group.
The results indicated that the majority of mothers in the experimental group moved from severe childbirth fear in the pre-test to mild fear in the post-test, whereas no significant change was observed in the control group. The study concluded that EFT is an effective tool for reducing childbirth fear among primi mothers.
