EMDR v. Other Psychological Therapies for PTSD: A Systematic Review and Individual Participant Data Meta-Analysis

Summary: The study compared Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) with various psychological treatments, including Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), for PTSD.

It concluded that there was no significant difference in effectiveness between EMDR and other therapies like EFT in reducing PTSD symptoms, achieving remission, or minimizing treatment dropouts. Both approaches were found to improve PTSD symptoms compared to baseline.
