Summary: This case study explored the effects of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) on 11 women and female adolescents who had experienced Childhood Sexual Abuse (CSA). The study identified several key findings, including the importance of therapeutic alliance, the role of cognitive behavioral theory in enhancing EFT, and the need to distinguish between tapping for daily emotions and core issues.
The study also highlighted the importance of assessment, case conceptualization, and treatment planning for successful therapy outcomes. The findings suggest that EFT can be a helpful tool for managing CSA symptoms, but its effectiveness can be enhanced by integrating it with other therapeutic approaches.
