Summary: This study explored the effectiveness of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) in improving eating behaviors, self-esteem, and psychological well-being in adolescents struggling with obesity. Forty-four students were randomly assigned to either an EFT group or a waitlist control group, and results showed a delayed but positive impact on eating habits, self-esteem, and compassion. Although improvements weren't immediate, participants showed better outcomes at follow-up, suggesting that EFT may have a lasting effect. The findings suggest that EFT could be a useful treatment strategy for promoting healthy eating behaviors and addressing weight-related psychological issues.
