Energy Psychology, Bilateral Stimulation, and Mindful Breathing for Trauma and Chronic Pain: A Theoretical Framework and Case History

Summary: This article introduces a new protocol combining four evidence-based interventions - Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), bilateral stimulation, Wholistic Hybrid, and mindful breathing - to treat individuals with comorbid trauma and chronic pain. The technique involves tapping on meridian points while using a pulser for bilateral stimulation and incorporates a "dialogue with the body symptoms" to uncover traumatic memories.

A case study demonstrated the potential effectiveness of this combined approach in reducing chronic pain and recovering repressed memories. Further research is needed to refine the evidence on this blended method and encourage practitioner training.
