Summary: This randomized controlled trial evaluated the effectiveness and safety of two home facial beauty devices that use radiofrequency, microcurrent, and LED technology to improve facial aging. The study involved 90 participants who were divided into three groups: two groups used different beauty devices, and the third group used a non-powered device as a control.
The results showed that both devices significantly improved skin wrinkles, texture, radiance, and laxity compared to the control group, but there were some differences in their effects on different areas of the face. While the devices showed effectiveness in improving facial skin aging, further research is needed to verify their safety and explore their potential benefits when integrated with traditional Chinese medicine meridian theory.
