Summary: This pilot study investigated the feasibility of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) as a treatment for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Thirty participants with PTSD received five weekly EFT sessions, which involved tapping on acupoints while repeating statements acknowledging the problem and accepting themselves. The study found high compliance and completion rates, with a significant decrease in PTSD symptoms and a large effect size. The results suggest that EFT may be a feasible treatment for PTSD, but further research with a control group is needed to confirm these findings.
