Summary: This retrospective controlled study investigated the effectiveness of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) in changing money attitudes and reducing stress markers, including anxiety, depression, pain and PTSD, in 54 non-clinical individuals. Both in-person and virtual EFT workshops showed significant improvements in money attitudes, anxiety, depression, pain, and happiness, with benefits sustained at 6-month follow-up.
The study suggests that EFT can be effective in improving money attitudes and psychological symptoms, and that virtual delivery of EFT may be just as effective as in-person delivery. The findings support the potential for EFT to be delivered virtually through various platforms, including apps, on-demand therapy sessions, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence.
