Novel Ideas: Evaluation of a Brief Trauma Tapping Training and Single Session Application

Summary: This brief clinical note reports on the effectiveness of the Trauma Tapping Technique (TTT) in treating trauma in conflict zones, with 287 practitioners trained in TTT consulting with 1722 clients. The results showed significant reductions in subjective units of distress after a single TTT session, with anxiety and stress being the main conditions targeted. The study suggests that TTT can be an effective model for achieving emotional regulation and distress amelioration in a single session, and may be useful for community-led approaches in conflict zones.
