Summary: A study investigated the effects of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) on long-term psychological symptoms. 102 participants attended a 3-day EFT workshop and practiced self-treatment. Psychological symptoms were measured at five time points: before, during, and after the workshop, and at 1 and 6 months follow-up. The results showed statistically significant reductions in psychological distress across all symptom scales after the workshop. Although some increases were noted, the reductions in symptoms held up at the 6-month follow-up. The study suggests that EFT may be an effective treatment for reducing psychological symptoms with lasting benefits.
