Summary: This study investigated the effectiveness of Thought Field Therapy (TFT), a technique that involves tapping on specific body points to influence the body's energy field, in reducing anxiety symptoms in 45 patients with anxiety disorders. The patients were randomly assigned to either receive TFT immediately or wait for 2.5 months before receiving treatment. The results showed that TFT significantly reduced anxiety symptoms, and the improvements were maintained at 3- and 12-month follow-ups. The study suggests that TFT may be an effective treatment for anxiety disorders, but further research is needed to confirm these findings and rule out other explanations for the observed changes.
