Event Description:
Whether you already offer mentoring or you want to step into this role, our new course offers your fundamental, field-tested guidance for mentoring fellow EFT practitioners. It is open to Trainers, MTOTs, NQTs, current Mentors and Advanced Practitioners.
Course Overview
Led by Jondi Whitis and Jade Barbee, the course is comprised of 3 live two-hour sessions spread over three consecutive weeks.
In the first session, you’ll gain greater clarity on what mentoring is – and what it isn’t. For example, what if the real work isn’t in fixing or advising? Rather, it’s about helping your fellow practitioners build capacity to make their own realizations and cultivate greater self-trust – as much as it can be about solving problems ‘in the moment’.
In week two, we’ll dive into the practicalities of one-on-one mentoring. This includes meeting EFT practitioners where they are, listening and asking questions to help them clearly identify problems, clarify goals and find solutions together.
The final session turns to groups where we’ll explore topics such as structuring a session, choosing the right format for your students, and navigating the joys and challenges of holding space for a room instead of just one person.
As an attendee, you can expect:
- Lively discussion, featuring questions designed to help you step into the mentoring role with confidence
- Practical mentoring skills, including take-home class notes built from the course outline and each day’s discussion, so the material keeps evolving as the course unfolds.
- A deeper, grounded understanding of what it means to be an even safer, more steady presence for another practitioner within a community of mentors who, like you, are always learning.
This course counts toward annual EFTi mentoring and CPD credit (6 hours for Advanced Practitioners and Mentors OR 3 hours trainer mentoring plus 3 hours practitioner mentoring credit for Trainers).
* = If you are an Advanced Practitioner looking to learn how to mentor, this course is an excellent primer. Currently EFTi has paused new mentor applications, but we understand this may change in the future.
