Mentoring for Mentors
Event Description:
New! Mentoring for Mentors…
Whether you already offer Mentoring or you want to successfully step into this role and business practice, our new course delivers fundamental, field-tested professional EFT mentoring guidance. Open to Trainers, MTOTs, NQTs and current Mentors looking to better serve their mentees. We also welcome Advanced Practitioners* curious about adding mentoring to their skillsets and practice.
Overview
Led by Jade Barbee and Jondi Whitis, the course is comprised of 3 live, two-hour sessions spread over three consecutive weeks.
In the first session, you’ll gain greater clarity on what Mentoring is – and isn’t. For example, what if our real work isn’t fixing or advising? What if helping fellow practitioners build capacity for making their own realizations and cultivating self-trust? What if our work was to co-create with them a sturdy foundation for growing confidence to solve real world problems?
In week two, we’ll dive into the practicalities of one-to-one Mentoring. This includes a considered path to meeting EFT practitioners where they are, actively listening and asking thoughtful questions to help them more clearly identify problems, clarify issues and goals and find satisfying solutions together.
The final session turns to Mentoring for groups; we’ll explore a variety of topics, such as structuring a session, selecting formats, and navigating the challenges of holding space for a room instead of just one person.
What to Expect:
Lively discussion — real case examples and honest input from instructors and fellow participants. Collaboratively shaped conversations.
Practical mentoring skills, including take-home class notes built from the course outline and each day’s discussion; course material keeps evolving as the course unfolds.
A deeper, experiential understanding of what it means to be a truly safe, steady presence for another practitioner as well as community of Mentors who, like you, are always learning.
This course counts toward annual EFTi mentoring and CPD credit (6 hours for Advanced Practitioners and Mentors, OR 3 hours trainer mentoring plus 3 hours practitioner mentoring credit for Trainers).
* If you are an Advanced Practitioner looking to learn how to Mentor, this course is an excellent foundation for the concepts and skills needed to take their own practitioner experiences with Tapping into a larger field, holding space for other practitioners’ practical challenges and growth.
Although EFTi has paused new Mentor applications, we understand the program will be re-opened in the future.
Our class is Tuesdays, September 1st, 8th and 15th via Zoom – 6pm to 8pm New York time, for 8 attendees only.
